Upson achieves new milestone, opens 200th store in Mindoro

Upson International Corp. (Upson), the country’s largest retailer of information technology (IT) products, recently launched its 200th store with the opening of the newest Octagon Computer Superstore in Pinamalayan, Mindoro.

This newest retail store occupies a corner lot in a roadside location within the town proper, offering a retail space of 180 square meters. “We are excited to be able to reach out to more customers across the country through our expansive network. With the opening of our 200th store, Upson aims to continue to provide direct access to an updated suite of IT products to every region in the Philippines,” shares Upson President & CEO Arlene T. Sy.

Earlier this month, Upson also opened 3 other retail stores – a Micro Valley branch in SM Sucat as well as two other concept stores, namely Acer and Brother, in Limketkai Mall, Cagayan de Oro City.

“It has been 18 years since we opened our first Octagon Computer Superstore” Sy adds. Today, Upson offers over 13,000 IT products in their various retail outlets like Octagon Computer Superstore, Micro Valley, and Gadget King. Upson also has concept stores to carry exclusive brands such as Acer, HP, Brother, and Silvertec.

Upson’s long-standing and close partnerships with various suppliers of global brands have garnered industry insights that helped Upson provide IT products that are relevant and responsive to market needs and lifestyle changes.

Further, Upson prides itself in being awarded Certifications of Authenticity and Untampered Products from some of the leading suppliers of computer and IT brands. These wide variety of IT products are available at uniform prices in all Upson’s retail branches which can be found in 16 out of the 17 regions in the country.

“Upson is committed to developing new ways to meet these changing demands to equip more Filipinos with the right technology and authentic IT products. We aim to be the partner of choice of our clients for their digital future,” says Sy.

Upson’s expansion plan aims to build 250 additional branches or a total of additional 25,000 square meters of retail selling space over the next 3 to 5 years.
